Toejam and Earl Chucks by Super-Mario-Whirled Toejam and Earl Chucks by Super-Mario-Whirled
Ffffyeah I've been waiting to draw on my own pair of kicks forever. Converses tend to get expensive, so when I saw the glorious rack of white hi-tops for six bucks at Roses... man, I was all over it. I called everywhere and nobody had a pair for less than $40, so I saved the equivalent of a trip to the gas pump. Word.

The picture quality isn't great, but I don't have a real camera- just my cheapy phone. Sorry. Toejam's on one side, Earl's on the other, and the main theme is the background/landscape from the original TJ&E. Not to mention the inevitable 90's pattern around the shoestring holes.

The heels say Toejam and Earl, but... the Earl turned out a little raggedy. And Toejam himself looks a little shitty. Oh well. Like I said, six bucks!

Done with Sharpie and Bic permanent markers.

It's sloppy work, but I love them soooo muuuuch. And (if you're interested) here's some explanatory footage from said game.

Oh ho, these are great! I've always wanted to try decking out shoes, but my converses are low tops, and navy :/
Anyway, I've only heard a little of the game, about that it's really funky and radical? Whatever the youngsters say nowadays...

Toejam and Earl is the definitive 90's game. The whole plot is centered around getting the "rapmaster rocket" repaired so the titular aliens can return to Funkatron from Earth. The whole art style is so 90's and the way they talk... they say jammin' and funky and right on in every other sentence. It's amazing.

Getcha self some shoes and draw on 'em; it's good for the soul.

Are you a wizard.
Seriously, these are really good. Super amazing.
Are you planning on actually wearing them? I would be so afraid to scuff them or accidentally step in a puddle aaa.

Actually I wore these bad boys on some errands today. I was so excited I couldn't keep them off my feet (even though they really don't match anything). I guess my best insurance is to wear them in dry weather only, but... that never really works out like it should, does it?

Thanks budddyy

Gosh, that's so cool. You used Sharpie and permanent marker, right? That should be pretty waterproof and should be able to handle a light sprinkling, but it's probably safe to say you shouldn't go splashing about in puddles with them on.

You're making me want to go to Ross right now and get some shoes to do this kind of thing.

Yeah, basically just don't play rugby with them on. :P

Go get some shoes and draw the heck outta 'em. It's fun to wear them around and watch people question your sense of style.
